The Boomettes

RICHMOND'S KITSCHY, SASSY & ADORABLE DANCE TROUPE OF BOOM BOOM BASICS

Inspired by Richmond's Historic, Byrd Theatre's chorus line "Byrdettes" dance troupe, The Boomettes are choreographed by Headmistress, Lottie Ellington and perform both neo-burlesque hilarity and classic style with vintage vaudeville appeal! They have performed in several of Virginia's finest theaters, including the Altria Theater (formerly the Mosque Theater), the Byrd Theatre and CenterStage in Richmond, the Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, and the State Theater in Alexandria! Formed in 2012, the Boomettes have appeared in the 2014 Virginia Burlesque & Sideshow Festival, the 2017 Smoky Mountain Burlesque Festival, and the 2017 Elbys Awards presented by Richmond Magazine.
